This is our grandparents on their wedding day circa 1938 in Detroit. The first time our grandmother Eleanor saw her husband Robert was when they were 6 years old. He was playing the violin at a school show, looking sharp in his knickers.
Their love lasted a lifetime. Eleanor continues to love her husband long after losing him, and through a lot of memory loss and confusion never forgets her beloved Bob. To us, this is what Valentine's Day should be a celebration of - the simplicity of love and friendship and the examples of love in our lives.
Happy Valentine's Day.
